CHRIST'S LAUGHTER

An upturned corner of the mouth
a crinkling about the eyes ~
a gentle hand to hold you near
a heart to hush your sighs...

The little children went to him
and were not disappointed
a giggle there, a tickle there
from Christ, the dear Anointed.

A deep and manly chuckle
what a treasure to have heard!

The Christ in all his glory
No speech was ever necessary
as he lived his Holy Word.
