Army Mom’s Safe Haven

YOUR FACE

I touch your face and there is no more wilderness awaiting me.
I feel your arms around me, and slowly all my fears depart.
I am content.
I cannot stand the confusion and the hurrying,
the insecurity and the worrying -
When Life becomes too much for me
I only have to look at you and then I cannot see
those other faces...
I cannot stand for days on end alone -
All I need to do to renew my strength
is to have you near,
to have you touch my face and
tell me I am safe with you.
