Christina: In Memory of Bradley Beard
Spc. Bradley S. Beard

I checked my e-mail one morning
and found one that stopped my heart ~
a note about a soldier
who died before his life could start...

His uncle thanked me for my poems;
It was an honor he paid to me,
when his family is dealing with sorrow,
I read, but could not see.

I did not know you, Bradley,
I hope you'll dance in starlight.
My heart goes out to your loved ones,
and I will pray for them tonight.
