Army Mom’s Safe Haven

Christina: One Child Is...

ONE CHILD IS...

One child lives behind
a wall of barbed wire
Not enough food and
no wood for a fire
No shoes for her feet,
no bow for her hair;
no toys to play with
She wears a sad stare.

One child lives on
the opposite side
Not understanding,
not knowing why.
No shoes for her feet
no bow for her hair
No toys to play with,
just a sad, hungry stare.

Your soldier and mine
Have now gone to War;
our Children fight
as they haven't before -
To bring Freedom to children
who haven't known any

Because one child dead
is one Child too many.
