A REDHEADED IRISH GIRL

There's just one thing I can call to mind
In the scope of the whole wide world
That makes your heart sing
like the first day of spring;
That's a redheaded Irish girl.

The sun comes up in the sky each day,
And it tries to outshine her curls,
But the best it can fare,
is to accent the hair
Of the redheaded Irish girl.

I haven't been near the Blarney Stone,
But I tell you that she's a pearl;
She's wearing the green,
she's a lovely colleen,
She's a redheaded Irish girl.
